Who we are
CallLane is a macOS app made by Hardeep Singh (hardeep.cv). For any privacy question, email support@hardeep.cv.
The app
CallLane has no account and no analytics. Your audio never leaves your Mac.
The app reads its own hidden audio tap, the CallLane device that call apps play into. It never reads your real microphone. macOS treats that tap like a mic, so CallLane asks for microphone access.
CallLane goes online for three things only:
- Activating your license key. The app sends your license key and your Mac’s name to Dodo Payments (live.dodopayments.com). The name shows which Mac uses the key.
- Checking your license key. About every 3 days, the app sends the key and its activation ID to Dodo Payments in the background to check that the key is still valid. When you deactivate a Mac in Settings, it sends the same two values to free that Mac’s seat.
- Looking for updates. Shortly after each launch, and then about once a day while it runs, the app downloads https://dl.hardeep.cv/calllane/latest.json to see if a new version is out. It sends nothing beyond the normal web request.
The license key and activation ID stay in your Mac’s Keychain.
Purchases
Dodo Payments is the merchant of record. It takes your payment and billing details and handles them under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email, country and order details. We use them for your license and to answer support requests.
The website
calllane.app is hosted on Cloudflare. It counts visits and clicks with PostHog (EU servers), without cookies. PostHog sets an analytics cookie only if you click Accept on the cookie bar. .
The buy link tells Dodo Payments which site sent you here, the first page you opened and any campaign tags in its link. The question after checkout is optional. Your answer goes to PostHog.
When you email support, we keep the emails so we can answer you.

Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too.
